报告人简介：

Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed joined IPRCC on December 1, 2009. He is a Fulbright Scholar, has 30 years of work experience in poverty alleviation, management, teaching, and institution building. He holds a Ph.D in Development Economics from Kharkov National University, Ukraine and an MA in Economics from Dhaka University, Bangladesh. He was also awarded a Master’s Degree in Management (MM) by the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines. He completed a 5-week Leadership Development Program at the Harvard Business School, Cambridge, USA. Dr. Ahmed can speak English, Russian fluently and presently learning the Chinese language.

He had worked with the world’s largest private development organization (NGO) BRAC in different capacities from 1979 to 2004. As a Deputy Executive Director of BRAC, he was responsible for Human Resource Development, Research, Training and Capacity Building, Health and Population, Rural Development, Monitoring and Audit, Finance, Logistics, Construction and also representing BRAC in national and international forums, to donors, governments and networks. Dr. Ahmed had served as the Pro-Vice Chancellor, BRAC University (BRACU) from 2005 to 2009. During these years, he was involved in leadership, policy making, and institution building of the newly founded university through heading the Initiative on Learning and Development. The Initiative on Learning and Development is a strategic think tank of the University, and he was involved as resource person and mentor in Faculty Development. He has implemented capacity development projects, internships, exchanges and Ph.D programs with universities of USA and Australia. Dr. Ahmed has varied teaching experiences on different topics in management and development.

He also taught policy advocacy and development at USA Colleges for a year in 2004 as a Fulbright Scholar.

附：日本农林中金综合研究所捐赠讲座简介

“日本农林中金综合研究所捐赠讲座”是由日本农林中金综合研究所捐赠设立的讲座。2008年5月，中国农村政策研究中心主任陈锡文、日本农林中金综合研究所大多和严所长和中国农业大学经济管理学院王秀清院长分别代表中国农村政策研究中心、日本农林中金综合研究所和中国农业大学经济管理学院三方在北京签订了捐赠讲座协议。日方三年期间捐赠合计人民币120万元左右，用于支持中国农村政策研究中心和经济管理学院设立“日本农林中金综合研究所捐赠讲座”。

设立该讲座的目标，是通过中国农村政策研究中心、中国农业大学经济管理学院和日本农林中金综合研究所的通力合作，借助农林中金捐赠的讲座，构建一个高水平的中日农业经济和农业政策研究的交流平台，并通过与中国以及世界其他国家和地区的学者、官员的合作交流，使该平台逐渐成为一个在全球范围内有较大影响的农业经济学术和政策交流平台。

该讲座的实施主要由“日本农林中金综合研究所捐赠讲座”设立的两位讲座教授全权负责。这两位讲座教授分别是，中国农村政策研究中心副秘书长、中央财经领导小组办公室副局长赵阳，中国农村政策研究中心副秘书长、中国农业大学人文社科处处长辛贤。
